Log Recovery Requirements

We only do log removal, not tree removal. You can view our referrals list for tree service companies.

Angel City Lumber

Minimum log size for ACL is generally 24" diameter x 9' long (max 19’), but we will consider smaller diameters/lengths on an as needed and species basis. We will not take any logs <4’ long.

Altadena Reciprocity Project

If you are located in Altadena, and would like to donate your log to the Altadena Wood Bank, please indicate that on the form, in the Tree Story section.

Minimum log size for the Wood Bank is generally 12" diameter x 9' long (max 19’), but we will consider smaller diameters/lengths on an as needed and species basis. We will not take any logs <4’ long.

Please provide a brief 3-4 sentence description that tells the story of the tree. Include details such as the tree’s species, the neighborhood where the tree stood, and a short blurb about the tree's history and unique qualities.

Tell us your tree's name! If you don't know it, please give give a nickname for your tree. Be creative, anthropomorphize if you must, and help us tell your tree's story posthumously!

Please attach pictures of the log. We prefer very wide shots that encompass the surrounding terrain to help in analyzing tree removal.*
